Gabrielʼs painting firm Colour Sensations was highly recommended to me by a local builder who regularly uses Gabriel and his team. After an introductory meeting I requested a quote for a substantial painting job on my shopping centre.
As a commercial property owner for more than 40 years I have worked with many painters on numerous projects and I have no hesitation in saying that Colour Sensations are as good as they come and are truly professional.
The price was very competitive. Calls were always returned. The team arrived on time and work was carried out efficiently and to the highest standards using quality products and with full safety precautions and pedestrian management plans in place.
The job involved internal and external work; renovation of existing surfaces; new work & required flexible working hours to enable the tenants to keep trading. Gabriel had a wealth of experience and new exactly what was required for all situations and surfaces.
Gabriel handled work that other painters said could not be done, including very difficult to access areas, challenging ceiling surfaces and high walls, all with excellent results.
He also advised on colour selection as well as offering fresh, tasteful suggestions.
I particularly liked the way he pointed out how I could save money on some aspects of the paintwork during the project.
In any project of this size, variations can and do arise as a result of changes in materials and/or design – Gabriel handled this without a blink and always alerted me to any problem prior to proceeding, meaning we completed the job without a single issue.

I would like to thank you for an excellent result with the painting of our property, The Mollymook Beach Units, at 1 Ingold Ave Mollymook. I was very pleased with the final choice of colours, which embraced the beachside location, the setting, the existing materials and design of the complex and the range of accommodation offered at the property. The colour choice has resulted in a fresh, elegant and uplifting scheme. Although you did not select the colour scheme personally, I would like to acknowledge your help and professional advice and support through the process. Your advice on where to use the colours to best advantage as well as most economically, was invaluable.
The standard of finish is also excellent and indeed the work of a master painter. Your choice of appropriate products and advice on finish to best suit the range of surfaces has led to a result of the highest caliber. I have had a number of properties painted over the years, but I would have to say this was the neatest and cleanest job I have seen! I did not find a single drop of paint anywhere, including on window glass.
The work was done in a very timely fashion, and due to good weather, you were finished ahead of schedule. I appreciated that your effective organization and project management meant that our down time for holiday bookings was minimized. As this project involved all members of the Owners Corporation, I also appreciated your detailed advice and regular communication regarding the process of the painting and preparation, so that all parties concerned were aware of exactly what was involved. Your professional approach extended to having all necessary insurance coverage and an understanding and commitment to safety requirements. This was very important on this commercial project given the heights involved.
I would also like to pass on my thanks to George who worked with you on the job. I met George when he came back to double check everything had been finished. He was meticulous in touching up any small defect or oversight, replacing weather strips and numbers on doors etc. This attention to detail and pride in the job was very much appreciated.
